Join Champlain Area Trails (CATS) and the Adirondack Park Invasive Plant Program (APIPP) from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, for a hands-on beech leaf disease (BLD) educational hike and Forest Pest Hunters survey training on the scenic Twin Valleys property in Lewis, NY. This 2-mile outing is the perfect way to explore the beauty of our local trails while learning how to spot and report invasive pests that threaten the Adirondacks. We’ll teach you how to identify beech trees and signs of BLD and show you how to use the iMapInvasives app to contribute valuable data for conservation.
