Dispatch and scheduling software company recognized again at NEMTAC Transform 2026 for advancing technology in non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT)

ORLANDO, FL, UNITED STATES, August 28, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Bambi, an AI-powered dispatch and scheduling platform for NEMT providers, has been awarded the NEMTAC Innovation Award for the second consecutive year. The award, presented by the Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Accreditation Commission (NEMTAC), was announced at NEMTAC Transform 2026, held August 16-19 at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes in Orlando.

The NEMTAC Innovation Award, presented by the Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Accreditation Commission, recognizes the organization advancing the ideas, technology, or approaches capable of improving non-emergency medical transportation. Bambi received the award in 2025 and again in 2026.

NEMT providers move patients to dialysis, behavioral health appointments, and routine care, and most of them run small fleets with small back offices. Bambi's platform automates trip assignment, driver routing, and broker workflows that owners have historically managed by phone, whiteboard, and spreadsheet.

"We didn't build a single thing into Bambi that a provider didn't ask us for first. Every feature and technology enhancement that won this award started as an owner, operator or driver telling us what was broken in their dispatch day. NEMTAC gave us the trophies but the people who earned it are on the road running vans every day." Nirav Chheda, Bambi Health, CEO and Co-Founder.

Providers using the platform described the operational effect at the company's booth during the conference.

"I can say that our efficiency is at least 30% greater," said John Rinaldi of GreenCab in Ohio.

Lakisha Bullock, who runs Right Hand Transportation Services in Indiana, brought her sister on as dispatcher after adopting the platform. "I didn't even train her a lot on it. She just kind of figured it out," she said. "It does everything it says it's going to do, and we don't have any problems."

"We're glad to be part of the NEMT industry where providers keep pushing us forward, partners come together to collaborate like at this great conference, and NEMTAC keeps raising the bar on what standards and accreditation mean. " Nirav Chheda, Bambi Health, CEO and Co-Founder.

Bambi also recorded 16 interviews with operators, insurance brokers, vehicle manufacturers, and inspection technology companies on the Transform 2026 floor for its NEMT Experts Podcast, now past 120 episodes.
